Well it's been a slow start to 2018 with some atrocious weather... unless you're a duck! So following cancelled shows we finally got going with a fantastic event at Althorp Hall, Northamptonshire. Earl Spencer did us proud and the weather gave an additional smile on what was an enjoyable weekend. Next show is Food Gusto, Ashby, May bank holiday Sat & Sun. Another new one for us so come and join us.
So Burns Night is upon us and I wonder how you're planning to celebrate? Do you go the full course... with poetry, bagpipes and a dram or two (of course)? Or do you favour a quiet one by the fire with your favourite dram? For me, mine will be spent with birthday celebrations (my mum was born on Burns Night a few years ago), however be assured it will not pass without a dram or two in my hand.
My passion for whisky is just pipped to the post by my passion for running and sport. I've been an avid runner for about the same length of time I've enjoyed a dram or two! This year I completed the Leicester Half Marathon and I also did my first triathlon. I have my next sights set on a Wolf Run but I haven't yet decided which one. So if anyone is interested I have combined these two passions through a blog: www.whiskyrunners.wordpress.com See you there..... or on the trail!
So I'm joining in with the locals in Leicester on Sunday - first time running in the Leicester Half Marathon. Looks a lovely route round the city and surrounding areas...
